Uesugi Rin knew that from the moment they first met.
She had always had very little. If she could only choose one thing, she'd choose freedom, the freedom of the Namibian grasslands.
A month after arriving on the grasslands, she had only just started to adjust. One day, she stepped out of her tent, looked up, and met the eyes engraved in her heart.
Behind him stretched an endless wilderness. The wind swept across distant ridges of sand, leaving ripples behind.
She stood frozen in place.
The familiar brows and eyes drew together slightly, then suddenly relaxed a moment later.
His voice was as arrogant as she remembered: "Why are you just standing there? Who do you think I'm waiting for?"
Only later did she learn that he had loved her for a long time.
