[The cover shows the seme and uke's kid]
1. The seme is a twenty-six-year-old S-rank male insect, born to a noble family in the upper city.
Beautiful, shrewd, and admired by enough people to circle the [Sacred Land] three times.
To keep his family's genes from deteriorating and prevent power from falling into other hands, the seme carefully chose the easiest high-ranking privileged female insect to control.
On the day of his engagement, he was about to exchange rings with a noble female insect he'd barely met,
when suddenly
A little male insect, whose appearance was a full fifty percent like his, dropped out of nowhere and landed right in front of him with a splat. Rubbing his little butt, he looked aggrieved and called out, “Father!”
Seme: “...Are you trying to scam me?”
He'd never even touched a female insect's hand. Where could this little buglet have come from?
2. The uke is the seme's sworn enemy.
At the engagement ceremony, the seme stood helpless and flustered as a little male insect suddenly rushed up to claim him as family. Down below, the uke watched from the audience, grinning with glee and laughing uproariously. A secret child before marriage meant the seme's grand alliance plans were ruined.
But the uke had barely laughed a few times when the unfamiliar little buglet came running toward him, eyes brimming with tears. “Mother! Are you abandoning me too?”
Uke: “...A double scam?”
He'd been single on his own merits all this time. Where was he supposed to have gotten a little buglet?
3. The protagonist is an eight-year-old male insect.
Ever since he was born, his father and mother have spent eight years showing off their love without a care for their own child. The protagonist went from questioning them, to understanding them, to becoming them.
When he gets married someday, he'll show off his love for his own spouse just like that!
After transmigrating to his parents' youth, the protagonist pulled out a little notebook, ready to study and record the hundred ways his father kept his mother in line.
Then he saw his parents bickering every three days, getting into a serious fight every five, and wishing every day that they could kill each other.
Protagonist: “...”
Never mind. It doesn't matter.
The protagonist thought calmly. As an eight-year-old male insect, his most pressing concern was getting his father to acknowledge him and tuck him in like usual.
To secure a place in his father's affections as soon as possible, the protagonist thought long and hard, then decided to make a deal with his mother.
Protagonist: “Help me win a place with Father, and I'll help you win a place with Father.”
The uke scoffed. “Ha...? I'm not even close to the seme. Why would I want a place with him?”
The little male insect sat obediently and replied smoothly, “Okay. Then Mother can help me win a place with Father, but I won't help Mother win a place with Father. It's settled!”
Uke: “...?” Was that what he meant?
The uke was so exasperated he laughed.
Fine.
That shameless attitude of following up every opportunity, getting something for nothing, and refusing to ever take a loss... No wonder he was the child of the uke and his sworn enemy!
Considering that a little male insect really shouldn't be left without his father's care, the uke eventually agreed to an unfair contract to help the buglet win a place with his father, with no benefit to himself
But somewhere along the way, why did he start wanting a place with the seme himself?
Content warnings: Main couple, the parents' romance: enemies to lovers.
Side couple, the adored little one: childhood friends to marriage (no romance before adulthood).
*** I'll revise the title and blurb before the official launch, but the core premise won't change. I just want to write a sweet little story about a happy family of three!
Theme: You have to be a good big kid to raise a little kid well.
