"The second disciple is easy to handle, too. He loves the food I make, so I cook him something different every day. But he practices the ghost path, so he sleeps poorly every night. Before bed, I use my mouth to pass some righteous spiritual energy to him."
"The youngest is a bit mischievous. He likes to wrap his tail around people and sleep beside them to absorb their spiritual energy. But I won't let him keep the other disciples awake, so I let him sleep with me instead. I have to say, hugging him in summer is quite cool."
In truth, the three good disciples all feel they've gotten a share of their master's affection, so they manage to live together in peace. For now.
Until one day, they notice a vivid red hickey on their master's lower back.

He is well cared for, and his spiritual power gradually recovers.
One day, he realizes something is strange about the world he lives in: it seems like everyone does the same thing at the same time every day.
Everyone, that is, except his kind roommate, friendly neighbor, and generous boss.
