Cast out by God, Michael returns to Heaven and lives in seclusion, where Hell tempts him.
As his archenemy, watching from the shadows, Hell understands all too well the predicament Michael faces on his return to Heaven: harsh surroundings and strained relationships.
In exchange for better living conditions, Michael has to spread the gospel of Hell.
At first, Michael is rather reserved.
First, he starts a little fire, burning down a city-state.
Then he pays a visit, and the men of the entire city disappear into the night.
Then he topples a tower, and dawn breaks.
These are all small matters.
Michael bashfully says that he has hoisted Lucifer, God's lackey, high up, then hesitates before adding, "You're a dog. Are you looking to jump ship?"
"You know God is dead, right?"
"I want to tell everyone here: 'Humanity'? The world outside is vast. Hell is much, much bigger than Heaven."
