[On Hiatus]
I'm an ordinary person, but people keep dying from the misfortune I bring.
I don't want to kill anyone, but all kinds of coincidences keep making evil people die at my hands.
Heaven gave me great fortune, as if I were born to eliminate the wicked.
I refused to go along with it.
Until the day my kind, wonderful friend fell before my eyes.
So I picked up a knife and took revenge on every last evildoer.
Burdened with misfortune, all I have to do is greet the wicked and have a friendly chat with them. They'll die in an accident.
I thought I had no abilities and could only protect myself, but they called me "Calamity," "God of Misfortune"?
A new recruit joins the law enforcement squad. Harmless and innocent by day, at night he becomes "Calamity," using misfortune to wipe out criminals.
A cult swindles people out of their money and organs. After E Liang arrives, the church splits open, and the cult leader is devoured by his followers.
A businessman builds his fortune on human trafficking. As he flees for his life, E Liang fires at the river. The bullet ricochets and hits the businessman right in the temple.
A powerful crime boss meets E Liang. Even with the resources of the whole world protecting him, he still develops cancer and has little time left to live.
E Liang thinks of himself as a criminal steeped in sin, but someone is always willing to pull him out of the abyss, again and again.
His parents bow their heads ninety-nine times to lift the curse of misfortune.
His dear friend dies in a cave, yet still leaves E Liang hope.
The law enforcement squad trusts him and risks their lives to stop him from losing control.
One act of kindness after another, one sacrifice after another... Everyone gives their all to push him toward hope.
He is Calamity. He is a god. He is everyone's hope.

Coming soon: It's Only Right to Protect the Divine Beast That Protects the Nation
Mo Lian transmigrates into the divine beast that protects a kingdom in an ancient dynasty. As the embodiment of a dynasty, the divine beast holds a lofty status and is closely tied to the nation's fate.
Who knew that remnants of the previous dynasty were lurking within the country, putting it at risk of being overthrown at any moment? Mo Lian can barely even be born.
Luckily, the Divine Beast Raising System is here to help. Complete the tasks, and he can grow up healthy.
[Task One: Point out the keeper of the Temple of the Gods in front of the founding emperor]
The emperor is reviewing memorials when a white egg leaps into the inkstone, then smacks straight onto the keeper's name in a memorial. A round ink stain ruins the document beyond recognition.
The emperor looks down at himself, covered in ink spots: ...
Hold it in. This is a divine beast!
Anyone targeted by the divine beast must be suspicious. After investigating, the emperor exposes a whole network of hidden remnants of the previous dynasty.
[Task Two: Sneeze in front of the Minister of Revenue]
At court, the Minister of Revenue is criticizing the divine beast for interfering in government affairs. Mo Lian slowly makes his way over and can't help sneezing.
A divine beast falling ill is a matter of the utmost importance. The cause must be a parasite gnawing at the country.
The Minister of Revenue turns pale and drops to his knees with a thud.
The emperor investigates and discovers that the minister embezzled a huge sum of disaster relief funds, leaving the disaster-stricken people in utter misery.
[Task Three: Have no appetite at the banquet]
A foreign envoy arrives, and the emperor hosts a grand banquet. Mo Lian looks listless and won't even eat his favorite fruit.
Just then, the envoy steps forward with a tray covered in red cloth, claiming it holds a national treasure.
The emperor grows suspicious and refuses the offering. It turns out the tray contains a venomous divine beast, ready to attack.
After unifying the realm, the Quan Dynasty gives birth to the first divine beast in history capable of understanding human speech: the Yue Dragon.
Before outsiders, the Yue Dragon is sacred, noble, and compassionate toward all under heaven. Only those close to him know that he deliberately plays pranks, startles at the sight of tigers, and can only sneeze repeatedly when he encounters a bad person.
He looks like a divine beast that needs protecting.
But when the founding emperor is attacked by a venomous snake, the Yue Dragon reveals his true form. With a single roar, he makes the snake vanish into nothing.
When a neighboring country attacks the border in the later years of the Quan Dynasty, the army is driven back step by step, and no one at court can fight, the Yue Dragon takes to the battlefield himself, summoning wind and rain to reclaim the lost territory.
When the last emperor burns the city and destroys the kingdom, Mo Lian stands atop the city wall and gazes upon the ruins, exhausting all his divine power to protect the Quan Dynasty.
He is Lian, the divine beast who protects the nation. Where the nation stands, Lian stands. When the nation falls, Lian falls.
* The protagonist has no romantic pairing or love story. He has two forms, beast and human, and both have white hair.
* The protagonist doesn't die. He simply returns to heaven to be a divine beast.
* This story focuses on family and friendship. The royal bloodline carries a crazy streak, and its members will go to extremes to protect Mo Lian. Read at your own risk!
