Chi Li is an unremarkable student, no different from anyone else except for her tendency to run into ghosts.

Qin Sian is a famous feng shui master, incredibly skilled at her job except that she can't see ghosts.

The two couldn't have been more different, but they met when Qin Sian impulsively stepped in to help someone in trouble. She then stumbled upon Chi Li's unusual ability to see ghosts.

Qin Sian was shocked. "You can see ghosts without any help?"

A kid who just ran into something supernatural is this calm? I've never seen anything like it!

Chi Li was shocked too. "You used a tool and still can't see them?"

A feng shui master who can't even see ghosts? Unheard of!

With no choice, Qin Sian opened her right hand and pointed to the life line that had disappeared from her palm. "Not only can I not see them, something really powerful has latched onto me. I'm probably going to die."

Chi Li was confused. Chi Li didn't understand. Chi Li asked, "But aren't you amazing at catching ghosts?"

Qin Sian thought it over. Qin Sian nodded. Qin Sian answered, "Well, I am considered one of the best in the field..."

Chi Li cut her off. "It's just picking on you because you can't see it. I'll be your eyes."

The two worked together, hitting whatever they aimed at. Die? Not a chance.

As soon as Xia Wan entered the entertainment industry, she offended the executives and was buried and blacklisted. During her most obscure year, she played faceless corpses, refugees, and street vendors at Hengdian for just fifty yuan a day.

Just as the industry was about to forget this minor nobody, someone finally dared to cast her as the female lead's maid.

For her first role where she would show her face, she got to act alongside Liang Yining, the youngest Best Actress, renowned for her reputation, looks, and acting. Xia Wan felt like she'd hit the jackpot.

As they grew closer, Xia Wan discovered that Liang Yining was wonderful. She would help an industry nobody like her polish her acting, offer her opportunities, and even risk delaying filming to take Xia Wan to the hospital when she fell ill.

Xia Wan was deeply moved and firmly believed there were still good people in the entertainment industry.

Until the day they filmed the final scene.

A torrential downpour trapped the crew in the mountains.

As they sat side by side on the ground in a cave, sheltering from the rain, Xia Wan rested her head on Liang Yining's shoulder and stared at the rain. Then Liang Yining's voice drifted softly into her ear: "Would you consider being with me?"

Xia Wan was struck like lightning. The beautiful illusion of their time together shattered. Her mind raced through everything that had happened, and at the worst possible time, she thought of a terrible joke: In their line of work, that meant becoming someone's kept woman.

Xia Wan realized with a start: Could this woman really think that accepting her kindness meant agreeing to be her sugar baby?

She hurriedly pulled her head away from Liang Yining's shoulder.

Damn, she almost got tricked. There really are no good people in the entertainment industry.
