[A super-oblivious, silly beauty of a heroine x a scheming, sharp-tongued, arrogant male lead]
Ning Yin wandered for many days, not knowing her name or where she came from. She only knew that she was about to die again.
She'd been hungry for many days, but was determined to be a good ghost and never rob or murder anyone.
Just as her soul was about to vanish, a gravely wounded young boy on the verge of death appeared in the mass grave.
Ning Yin thought she might as well make use of what was available, and quietly floated over to suck a little of the boy's life energy. He woke from his dream and grabbed her by the neck.
Blood spread across the boy's body. "My blood is only for my wife. Get off me."
Ning Yin blushed with anger, pounced on him, and bit him. "Saving one life is worth more than building a seven-story pagoda! Save me once, and you can earn some good karma for your deceased wife!"
The boy would summon his sword to frighten her at the slightest disagreement. Ning Yin knew when to give in, so when he told her to get lost, she did.
She hadn't gone far before she found herself back at his side. She couldn't be separated from him, so she could only watch as he crossed snowy plains and rivers in search of his deceased wife.
The boy had a terrible personality, and Ning Yin was always scolding him. "You'll never find a wife. Never!"
In response, the boy would raise his blade and lash out in fury.
After spending a long time together, Ning Yin discovered that the boy was Lin Heqie, the peerless genius rumored to have thrown the cultivation world into chaos.
The young genius had gone mad while cultivating and turned into a demon who killed without blinking.
When the immortals attacked, Ning Yin's old affliction flared up again, and the raging fire burned away her reason. She lowered her head and buried it in Lin Heqie's open chest.
She bit down on his burning-hot skin.
Lin Heqie pressed a hand against the back of her head, his grip tightening as he arched his neck. His face flushed, his eyes filled with a frenzied possessiveness. "Qingqing, deeper."
