During a chase after her old nemesis, [The Mask], [Apocalypse], the only S-rank special agent in the Lan Hai City Special Abilities Task Force, accidentally killed her target.
Due to dereliction of duty, she was demoted from the prosperous Central Continent to the desolate Wilds, despite being the favorite to become the Task Force's next director.
Stung by the setback to her career, [Apocalypse] began secretly investigating [The Mask]'s death. As the only S-rank wanted criminal the Special Abilities Task Force had seen in recent years, [The Mask] was an expert at escaping through the sky, earth, and air... as well as at disguises. But one discovery led to another, and she uncovered a shocking secret the Task Force had been carefully concealing all along.
