Bai Hui saw Ming Zhi again in the first calculus class of her freshman year.

Thoughtfully, Ming Zhi draped a jacket over her shoulders. It was the pink-and-black plaid shirt Bai Hui had given her before.

Ming Zhi’s short hair had been replaced by a mass of long, glossy black hair. Her narrow, phoenix-shaped eyes were cool and distant, and she wouldn’t even look at Bai Hui.

Who would have guessed that Bai Hui had fallen out with her just three months ago?

And that she had a crush on her?

Bai Hui assumed their chance encounter was just a coincidence.

But, to her surprise, wherever she went, Ming Zhi turned up too.

Even under the blazing sun, when the whole year group was doing icebreakers on the sports field,

Ming Zhi stood all alone beneath the trees, watching her with a cool, lonely gaze.

Bai Hui thought she was being ostracized and couldn’t help softening toward her.

Who knew that after they made up, Ming Zhi would cling to her even more? She barely spoke, but insisted on following her around.

Bai Hui tried to reassure herself. Ming Zhi had always been like this, and maybe she didn’t have many friends now, so she had no one else to turn to.

But Bai Hui’s indulgence let things spiral out of control,

until the naive little Bai shared a long, lingering kiss with Ming Zhi and realized that something was very, very wrong!

Bai Hui tried reasoning with her, hoping to make Ming Zhi understand that this wasn’t something good friends should do.

Ming Zhi: “You kissed me first.”

Bai Hui was baffled. Huh? Who? Me?

She’d forgotten that on some secret night, a drunk girl had smeared cream from a cake onto someone’s face, then leaned in to lick it off.

And as she licked, she ended up kissing her.

Ming Zhi is a robot puppy and a stone-faced warrior. She can only follow her programming, and only realized she’d fallen for her one and only best friend after remembering they seemed to be on bad terms.

So she asked around to find out which schools Bai Hui had applied to, then clung to her again like a ghost. She tracked Bai Hui’s schedule to stage chance encounters, secretly picked up the hairs she left on the table, and even fished the green peppers Bai Hui didn’t eat out of her bowl...

Like a little stray on the street, she had drawn warmth from the people who passed by without a thought. That gave her hope, and kindled love in her heart. From then on, there was no holding back.

Question: How do you get together with a former enemy, once-best friend, and unrequited crush after a cold war, when you’re both women?

Little Bai’s answer: Just wait.

A gloomy, genuine female ghost x a sweet, naturally sharp girl

On New Year’s Eve, Zhu Yu and her family of four were happily watching the Spring Festival Gala in the living room.

In the middle of the peaceful evening, a “deng~ deng~ deng~” suddenly rang out.

Zhu Yu panicked and instinctively covered her phone, frantically hitting the volume-down button.

As she tried to hide her guilty secret, she saw her not-so-close stepsister across from her pick up her phone too.

Their eyes met, and they saw the shock in each other’s faces.

Zhu Yu: My new stepsister is gay, and she’s on Rela too ∑(O_O;)

Seven Three: Another one of us?

Maybe it was the shock of finding out her stepsister was a lesbian, or maybe the girl really was just that beautiful. Either way, that night Zhu Yu dreamed she was kissing the stepsister she could barely stand (?), kissing her senseless in a haze of passion.

Zhu Yu woke up in a fright, and even in her confusion, wiped at the nonexistent drool at the corner of her mouth.

Little Yu was baffled. Little Yu was shocked.

The next day, Zhu Yu began a game of cat and mouse, always trying to hide.

Good news: the dreams stopped. Bad news: she started seeing ghosts.

When she showered, blood seeped from the fogged-up mirror. The hair gathered around the drain slowly writhed...

Zhu Yu couldn’t sleep at night, her nerves were shot, and she even started seeing ghosts during the day.

Just when she thought the ghostly things would torment her to death, Seven Three appeared out of nowhere and tore the little ghost apart.

Zhu Yu: I’m even more scared now...

As time went by, Zhu Yu realized that this woman really wasn’t ordinary...

She also noticed that Seven Three was always looking for opportunities to hug and cuddle her, sneaking in a feel, and even stealing a kiss when Zhu Yu pretended to be asleep.

And she realized... the other girl might not even be human.

Her life, or her virtue...

In her dark bedroom, Zhu Yu looked at the sinister ghostly aura in the corner.

She remembered what Seven Three had said earlier that day:

“Little Yu, take pity on me.”

Zhu Yu suddenly understood.

Timid Little Zhu might talk tough and go weak in the knees, but what was the big deal about giving herself to someone? She might not even be the one getting the better end of the bargain!

More than anything, she really was scared of ghosts!

P.S. They are step-sisters, and Seven Three is adopted.
