My Name Is Cheng Youyou

In third grade, the school put on a program for Children's Day. Cheng Youyou was chosen to be a sunflower. He had to wear a sunflower headpiece, have his cheeks painted bright red, and sit with fifteen other children in the back row as part of the motionless backdrop.

Xie Yu was the prince, and the class monitor, Wang Jiahan, played the princess.

Everything went smoothly until the moment when Xie Yu was supposed to walk over, kiss the princess's hand, and bow to the audience together. Instead, he walked over to Cheng Youyou, who was quietly sitting there asleep, pulled him to his feet, and declared loudly, "I want to be with my princess forever!"
