A spoiled heiress vs. a fatherly man with a youthful air
*
Her parents were pressuring her to marry, and Zhong Yi was at her wit's end.
Her childhood friend, who was far away overseas, teased her over the phone. "Want me to help you fend them off? We can just muddle through for a couple of years, then I'll come back and get a divorce." His voice crackled over the line, half serious and half joking.
Zhong Yi was a little dense. She smacked her forehead. "Sounds good to me!"
Song Buyu flew back overnight. Early the next morning, he woke Zhong Yi with a relentless barrage of calls, dragged her to the Civil Affairs Bureau, and got her the very first registration number: 001. Then he married her.

Zhong Yi had planned to enjoy her freedom after marriage, living it up as a useless socialite. Who knew Song Buyu would object so strongly?
When she traveled, he insisted on coming along.
When she went clubbing, he set a curfew.
When she flirted with men, he actually got jealous...
Song Buyu threatened her in a stern voice. "You're a married woman." He watched the fish take the bait, his voice low and quiet. "Mrs. Song."
Zhong Yi leaned close to his lips, her nose scrunched up. "Bro, are you drunk?"
His handsome face turned away. "I'm perfectly sober."
Zhong Yi laughed and flopped onto the sofa. "Who are you trying to fool?" She kicked off her slippers. "I know you inside out."
Song Buyu watched her slender back and swallowed. "You know nothing about me."

Two years later, their car stopped outside the Civil Affairs Bureau once again.
Zhong Yi frowned, rose onto her tiptoes, and hooked an arm around Song Buyu's neck. "What kind of joke is this?" She hung off him, swaying. "Honey."
