Higelo Jane, the strongest mage on the continent, has lived for years in the Mage Tower of the Forbidden Lands.
Until one day, a student came running to him in tears to complain that a strange kind of adventurer calling themselves "players" had appeared on the continent.
They feared nothing, and were greedy and reckless.
They broke into every house they saw, attacked every spirit beast they saw, and smashed every treasure chest they saw!
Every "player" adventurer had the blood of countless innocents on their hands. They were utterly wicked, hated by both gods and men!
Hearing this, Higelo was quite intrigued. "Oh?"
At a magical impasse (or, in short, boredom), Higelo decided to leave the Forbidden Lands, establish an Adventurer Research Association, and begin studying adventurers.
Several months later, the Adventurer Research Report, chiefly authored by Higelo Jane, officially went on sale!
-Excerpt from the appendix: Adventurer Research Report-
Adventurers are a new species with human appearances.
They are born from the "Spring of Life" as fully grown adults. They do not age and have no blood ties to any other living beings.
Adventurers possess an extremely strong regenerative ability.
No matter what injuries they suffer, disability, missing organs, poisoning, a rotting body...
As long as an adventurer is placed in a "camp" bearing an adventurer flag for eight hours, they can recover from all injuries and regain their strength, without suffering any internal damage.

Adventurers possess a special, race-wide telepathic communication ability.
Regardless of their condition, whether under magic suppression, time stop, unconsciousness, or even dead...
Adventurers can instantly transmit information to any other adventurer. Experiments have proven that even when two adventurers are in different planes, they can still communicate telepathically in real time.
[Related experiment report: See page 712]
Adventurers have almost no resistance to the word "quest."
No matter their level, whether they are just starting out or already famous...
Out in the wild, mages can lure adventurers with remarkable efficiency and safety by creating a floating red exclamation mark [ten inches above their heads].
[Related experiment report: See page 945]
Adventurers refer to adventurer researchers as "final bosses" and have repeatedly attempted to eliminate them. The reason is unknown.
The author is conducting further experimental research into this phenomenon and expects to complete the revised edition of the Adventurer Research Report within three months.
The new edition will be on sale at the Supreme Mage Tower.
At that time, the author will seal the five great [redacted] in the Divine Forbidden Zone. Readers need not worry that the continent will be destroyed as a result.
Respectfully submitted by the author, Higelo Jane, President of the Continent's First Mage Association (and Adventurer Research Association).
