Lu Wei and Lin Anqing are the most popular actresses of their generation. They're rich and beautiful, and wherever they go, they're surrounded by admirers. What could people like them possibly worry about? What else could they want? What could they still hope for in life?
Then an immersive game that lets players "return to the past" became popular in their circle. It was open only to people who were both fortunate enough to be chosen and wealthy enough to play.
In other words, being rich wasn't enough. The game had to "choose" you, too.
Luckily, Lu Wei and Lin Anqing were among those chosen. Driven by the same curiosity, they each chose to return to the other's past.
"If I enter your dream in a special way, learn who you really are, experience your past, and feel your sorrow and pain, will I wake up able to empathize with the person you are now?"
