For Xue Huaiting, high school should have been an endless loop of sleeping at home, skipping class, getting into fights, and sleeping at school. College, work, and even the distant future were like clouds on the horizon, forever out of reach.
Sometimes, as he trudged along the old streets, he would think:
Well, I guess this is it for me. I'm done for.
But after a transfer student joined his class in the first semester of his second year and unexpectedly became his desk mate, things seemed to take a different turn.
The transfer student was handsome, got good grades, and had a gentle, patient temperament. Aside from looking a little like a polished scoundrel, he had no flaws to speak of. Xue Huaiting just couldn't figure out what had possessed him to transfer to such a crappy little school.
Still, never mind. Since the guy was exactly his type, he might as well look out for him.
That's what Xue Huaiting thought, quite confident in his ability to fight.
Who knew that after all the twists and turns, he wouldn't end up looking out for the guy at all. Instead, the guy would look out for him. As the transfer student helped him limp home, Xue Huaiting could think of nothing but:
I'm done for.
I guess this is it for me. I've fallen for him.
What Xue Huaiting would never know, though, was that he was the one who'd been deliberately seduced.

P.S. 1. Just an ordinary school story, mostly written to commemorate my own lost school days (not really).
2. The plot exists to serve the romance. If anything seems ridiculous, that's because it is.
3. One-on-one happy ending, a sweet story with both leads doting on each other.
