Read Before Starting:
The story overall: Family bonds take center stage early on, with romance coming in the middle and later (the gong will be decided by reader vote).
There are plenty of chapters already written, and it will definitely be completed.
If there's a scene or bonus chapter you'd like to see, leave a comment. If I see it, I'll consider writing it.
The author is a fan of all the characters, but especially Mori (he may be written as a bit of a lady-killer). Every character has their own position, and the author promises never to maliciously slander any of them.
Blurb:
Mr. Mori, who wishes to remain anonymous: I want an ordinary life, but nobody told me it had to be an ordinary life in Yokohama. (Bitter smile.)
After living many lifetimes, never making it past the age of twenty in any of them, and experiencing normal and abnormal birth families as well as all kinds of strange siblings, Mr. Mori returned to his original world and had an epiphany: Being alive is pretty nice.
He preferred a peaceful life to wielding swords and guns or walking on a knife's edge. But looking at a Yokohama in ruins, where the people wore nothing but numbness and pain on their faces, he let out a quiet sigh. What a pity for such a beautiful city to be slowly dying.
So he began planning how to save the city. Through a series of coincidences, he adopted a number of children, including but not limited to:
A pure-white gravity manipulator who appeared at the bottom of a crater after an explosion; a brilliant cat who always got a toothache from eating too many sweets; and an exceptionally resilient brother and sister who relied on each other in the slums...
But as he carried out his plan, the people around him kept changing in inexplicable ways. It took a bit of emotional manipulation to get his little darling to tell him what was going on:
Different worlds had merged without his knowledge?!
Although nothing had changed in reality, the others had gradually received parts of their own memories from different worldlines. This unexpected news was scarier to Mori than going to hell.
Wait, why didn't I get any memories?
A certain Mr. Mori, who wished to remain anonymous, commented: Now I understand why Rabbit Dazai gives me that look whenever I talk to Oda-kun. I guess a version of me in another world must have done something pretty awful...
As familiar faces found him by every means possible, across all kinds of time-space intersections and after worlds merged, Mori, who had long since become an experienced family man (x) and was enjoying a busy life, could only say:
I really just want to save this city and then live an ordinary life. Please don't cling to me. (Polite smile.)
About the worlds Mori has lived through (some may be explored in more detail):
Born into an ordinary family, with two older brothers: an older brother who's a world-class scientific genius, and a second brother who has the power of a god but only wants to live an ordinary life.
The pitiful third son of a family of assassins who made their living killing people but cared deeply about family, unable to live to adulthood and dying in agony in his eldest brother's arms.
The eldest son of a family of doctors, too frail to do anything but watch his childhood friends, the future of Japan, play murderous tennis and basketball.
The eldest son of a samurai family with two younger brothers, living in a world full of man-eating demons. The youngest brother was even called the child of God.
The only student in his Jujutsu High class not to survive graduation.
Theme: The meaning of life lies in forming bonds
I found that I really don't like this kind of people, because I have been in a high position for a long time, and I feel like eating meat. I don't like the original work very much. It's not that I like Mori in the original work, but I really feel that this calico cat is really useless. It has no military value and no intelligence. For so-called government connections, it is better to go to Ango. I want to say it in the original work. This teacher, Mori, doesn't even give a license. What's the use [question mark]
