Black-hearted on the inside × proper on the outside // Plot-driven power fantasy
Shen Liyin is the young sect leader of the Tianxuan Sect, exceptionally talented, elegant, and proper.
She diligently cultivates every day and treats her fellow disciples warmly, all to improve her cultivation and bring glory to her sect.
But one day, she suddenly began hearing other people's inner thoughts. Or, more accurately, their conversations with something called a "System."
Her senior sister gave her a precious spirit pet, smiling as she said she wanted nothing in return but Shen Liyin's happiness. But under her breath, she murmured, "System, how much has my junior sister's affection for me increased?"
Her friend handed over a secret realm inheritance with both hands, proclaiming that friendship mattered more than anything, while secretly plotting, "System, if I spend 70 of Shen Liyin's affection points, can I exchange them for an ancient powerhouse's inheritance?"
Her suitor took a tribulation lightning strike for her, acting deeply devoted while thinking, "System, Shen Liyin must be so moved! When her affection reaches 90 points, can I share her opportunities and ascend together with her?"
Even her master was dreaming aloud: "Once I max out my affection with my disciple, I'll steal her fate and gain eternal life!"
From these conversations, Shen Liyin pieced together the truth. The world she lived in was a storybook. She was its protagonist, the chosen daughter of fortune in this world.
Everyone around her was a conqueror, trying to win over her, the protagonist.
They wanted to raise her affection for them, exchange it for System resources, seize her good fortune, and take her place.
Only by becoming the world's new protagonist could the conquerors truly survive. As for her, the old protagonist, the world's will would erase her completely.
With predators of every kind eyeing her, she was in grave danger.
But so what?
If the whole world was scheming against her, couldn't she turn around and use the whole world herself?
She was going to make them understand: want to be the protagonist?
Keep dreaming!

But what was going on with the junior sister being fostered in the sect?
She clung to Shen Liyin, protected her, indulged her, and gave her everything. And she wasn't a conqueror!
Yet, after Shen Liyin dealt with the conquerors around her and prepared to have a heart-to-heart with her junior sister...
The usually sweet and delicate junior sister wrapped herself tightly around Shen Liyin's waist and smiled wickedly. "Senior sister, who said I wasn't a conqueror?
All I've ever wanted is you."
