Bottom's perspective:

While inspecting a branch office, Assistant Yan meets the top boss at headquarters, Huo Chi.

The boss himself is highly resourceful, but his assistants always seem to hold him back.

Yan He keeps running into the boss at his most embarrassing moments. To make sure he doesn't hold a grudge, Yan offers his own ideas and helps the boss root out a corporate spy.

As they spend more time together, the boss turns his attention to Yan and soon cajoles him into transferring over to work as his assistant.

Yan He plans to be a dutiful little assistant who does his job for the paycheck, but the boss's love interest mistakes him for a rival.

Under the boss's mix of favors and threats, Yan pretends to be his lover.

It was supposed to be a simple arrangement, with one paying and the other doing the work. But when Yan's part was done, the man pinned him against the wall.

Amid a passionate kiss, he heard the man say:

"Assistant Yan, I've wanted to do this for a long time. This is my answer. Did you hear me?"

Top's perspective:

The company's HR department is hopeless. Every assistant they hire for Huo Chi is unsuitable.

After HR successfully hires a corporate spy, Huo Chi sets his sights on Assistant Yan from the branch office.

Young and hardworking; diligent and driven; clever and perceptive.

He's a perfect match for Huo Chi's requirements.

The cunning boss orders Assistant He to draft a contract, bringing Assistant Yan to headquarters for three months through a talent exchange program.

Assistant He asks in disbelief, "Are you planning to look for another assistant after three months?"

Huo Chi flashes a sinister smile. "Now that he's here, does he think he can leave?"

Poor Assistant Yan is duped by his boss into becoming a permanent employee.

Huo Chi also grows more and more fond of his assistant with each passing day.

But before long, Huo Chi makes the strange discovery that he seems to have fallen ill.

Every time he sees Yan He, his heart races uncontrollably.

Putting health first, he consults a therapist.

The therapist pushes up his glasses and asks politely, "Is it possible that you like him?"
