Ji Ling accidentally enters a survival game and must clear several disaster scenarios before she can leave.
She starts from the beginning with only an island. Her survival depends entirely on completing quests, and the island can spawn at random in snowy mountains, oceans, the sky, or even lava. Blizzards, tsunamis, hurricanes... she never knows what's coming.
Ji Ling: Hahaha, living is nice. Dying is fine too.

To survive, the first thing Ji Ling does every morning is pick up trash.
In the forest scenario, other players are either chopping wood or hunting.
Ji Ling: That stick looks pretty good. I'll pick it up. Wow, this squirrel's stockpile looks good too. I'll rummage through it... Huh?
System: Congratulations, player Ji Ling! You have obtained a rare seed!
In the ocean scenario, a tsunami is about to hit.
Other players: Reinforce the safe house, improve its waterproofing, stock up on supplies, and wait for the disaster to arrive.
Ji Ling: Whatever. I'll just find an elastic cord and tie it to my waistband. Oh, right, I should bring along the trash I've worked so hard to pick up.
...Wait, where are you taking me, you garbage-eating fish?
In the sky scenario, water has run dry, nothing grows, and players fight one another to seize resources.
Ji Ling, whose home is so poor no player would want anything from her: I've got nothing to do, so I'll pick up some bird poop.
System: Ding-dong! The bird droppings contain rare trace elements that can be exchanged for other elemental materials.
Ji Ling: Really? Then I'll make it rain!

As the scenarios grow increasingly difficult, the surrounding islands become fewer and fewer. At last, the remaining players discover this shabby little island.
High-level players: Wait, how did a player this poor make it this far?
Ji Ling scratches her head. "...By picking up trash?"
