To Toru Amuro, Yumizuki Mion is undoubtedly a woman he can't figure out.
They first meet at a dental clinic.
He's there to have a wisdom tooth pulled, and she's his attending dentist.
Gently cupping his face, the woman says in a cool voice, "Open your mouth."
They meet for the second time at Cafe Poirot.
He's in the middle of being confessed to by a tenacious, obsessive admirer.
In the crowd, he spots Yumizuki Mion in a red dress.
Snow-white skin, red lips, and a graceful figure.
Without a word, she slips her arm affectionately through his and gets him out of trouble. "Sorry, Mr. Amuro has been dating me lately."
They meet for the third time at the Mori Detective Agency.
Resting her chin on her hand, Yumizuki Mion gazes at him with hazy eyes and confides in him, troubled:
"Mr. Detective, I think someone's been following me. Can you help me?"
At first, Toru Amuro only thinks she's mysterious.
Later, he notices that she keeps appearing at crime scenes by coincidence, and that she always manages to clear herself of suspicion. The more he sees, the stranger she seems.
There are too many secrets hidden within her, so he decides to keep his patience and play along for now.
