Inspired by the culture and art style of the real Shang dynasty
A fictional history in an imaginary world
I'm not quite sure what genre this story belongs to. Maybe it's like a version of Records of the Eastern Zhou States or The Lord of the Rings, based on ancient mythology?
Set in a parallel world of gods, miracles, mythical beasts, and witchcraft, it tells the sweeping history of the Shang state and its vassal states, including Feng, Shen, Zhe, E, Lie, and Xing, as well as the northern tribes of Guifang, Xirong, and Xianyun.
It also follows the eventful lives of kings, lords, princesses, and high officials born among the various states and peoples.
Theme: People, nations, and the state
