Village Diary

The year I graduated from university, I suddenly grew tired of everything around me. My parents were deeply worried, and after trying every method without success, they sent me to my maternal grandmother's home in the countryside.

On the first day I arrived, Grandma warned me not to provoke the old cat in the house. Perhaps it was a long-suppressed rebellious streak, but that very night I cornered the old cat.

Under the dim streetlight, the old cat raised a paw. Its green eyes gleamed as it suddenly spoke. "Human, take your hand away."
