The Captain Is Teasing the Enemy Again [GB]

Upcoming novel:

Lin Yuan never imagined that the foolish older brother she had searched for fourteen years was the same person as the highly intelligent criminal known by the codename "Miracle" on the most-wanted list...

Fourteen years ago, six-year-old Lin Yuan was a little girl who had just lost her parents.

That day, a mutant attacked. She hid behind a wall, waiting to die. He ambled over from far away, wearing a clean short-sleeved shirt, and shot the mutant's core to pieces.

"Why didn't you shoot it dead?" The boy tilted his head. His eyes were clear, yet his innocence seemed far too young for his age.

Lin Yuan got up from the ground and told him, "I don't have a gun."

"Then why do I have one?" The boy lowered his head, his fair face filled with confusion.

Lin Yuan knew then that this handsome older boy was actually a fool.

Yet the foolish older brother she had picked up always protected her. He clumsily learned how to take care of her and escorted her all the way to a human base.

Then, one day, a Level One alarm sounded. In the chaos of the crowd, she failed to grab her brother's hand. From that moment on, she searched heaven and earth, but never found him again.

At twenty, Lin Yuan was the youngest team captain at Shaoyuan Base. None of the missions she took on had ever failed, and that included arresting Qi Ji for conducting illegal research.

"Take him back to the vehicle." Lin Yuan bound his wrists behind his back and handed him over to her teammates.

Qi Ji frowned slightly. "You're hurting my wrists."

Lin Yuan didn't budge. She sneered, "A criminal, and you're still this delicate? Watch it, or I'll shoot you dead."

As he was forced into the vehicle, Qi Ji sighed softly. "You're so fierce."

Lin Yuan's superiors had ordered her to keep Qi Ji safe, but he kept pushing his luck.

Qi Ji: "The prison is too cold. I'll get sick."

Lin Yuan: "Shut up! Put up with the cold."

Then Qi Ji really did come down with a fever so high he lost consciousness. Her superiors berated her for mishandling the situation. Lin Yuan nearly ground her teeth to dust. "I really caught myself a spoiled little ancestor!"

This difficult man was extremely useful, so Captain Lin had to grit her teeth and put up with him. She never expected that, as she put up with him, her feelings would change...

Just as she was beginning to fall for him, she heard him say, "I'm sorry, but my younger sister is still at the research institute. I have to go back and find her."

Not long afterward, Qi Ji really did escape. Lin Yuan was suspended and punished, but by chance, she discovered that she was Qi Ji's younger sister!

Then who was the person he went to the research institute to find!?

Lin Yuan: Furious!

Reader's guide:

1. There is no substitute plot. There is no "younger sister" at the research institute; the male lead was deceived. The two leads are each other's one and only, physically and emotionally. Gender-bender romance, no role reversal.

2. A super-strong heroine who's been cool since childhood x a fussy, delicate human computer of a male lead.

Theme: Perseverance and hope.
