Doctor x teacher (what a libido-killing profession combo)

A running diary of a couple's everyday life.

Ji Ange has had an alpha boyfriend since graduating high school. Their relationship has been steady for ten years, as constant as the seasons. They don't argue, don't doubt each other, and don't meet in person.

Because of their studies and work, they rarely see each other and mostly keep in touch online.

Then Ji Ange notices that Tang Boyan, on the other side of the screen, has become distant and strange. He also suddenly quits a very good job at a major hospital and returns to the small county town where the two of them went to high school together. Is he planning to lie flat and retire early?

When Tang Boyan reappears, he's thin and looks unwell, but is still gentle and considerate.

"Do you want to get married?" Ji Ange asks.

"It's up to you." That's his answer, but his eyes can't hide his urgency and anticipation.

Tang Boyan, an alpha and long-haired beauty. Domestic, considerate, and good at cooking. He can entertain guests and cook, and used to be a doctor. Now he also runs a shop, skipping fifty years of detours.

Ji Ange, a beta and the boy next door. A laid-back person, unaffected by pheromones. He puts grades above all else but is very patient with his students. His greatest dream is to lie flat completely.

The poem "I Want to Live with You" was the original inspiration for this story. I love warm, everyday life so much (though I plan to write something different next time).

I wanted to write about a couple who take things easy and don't experience any major romantic setbacks or conflicts. That might make the story feel less dramatic and less exciting, but it gives me peace of mind.

I imagined a world where every problem can be easily resolved and placed two kind, gentle people in it. I hope they can live well and enjoy more warmth and love on behalf of the real me.

There's actually so much more I wanted to write, but I'm not skilled enough to weave it smoothly into the plot. Even when I wrote detailed outlines, I kept changing things as I worked on the story.

I'll gradually fill in the things I didn't get to write through bonus chapters, which will appear from time to time.

It's a flawed work, and not a very long one, but it's another novel I've successfully completed. I'm so honored and happy to have received comments from readers.
