Also known as The Escaped Assassin's Rural Life
To escape the imperial court's pursuit, Mingyue fled to a remote wilderness, where she was poisoned. By chance, she ran into Feng Tu, her former little sidekick, who saved her.
At death's door, the two accidentally stumbled into a quiet little village far from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Wiping away tears, Feng Tu pleaded with the villagers:
"My little sister and I have only each other..."
Hmm?
Mingyue sensed something was wrong.
How had she woken up to find herself having to call this little brat her big brother?
She cautiously opened her eyes, only to see Feng Tu looking down with a triumphant smile, clearly pleased with his own sob story.
Sure enough, the kind villagers took them in. From then on, they lived under assumed names, enjoying a quiet life with nothing to worry about and nothing to their name.
Daytime
Mingyue: "Big Brother, hungry. Want food."
Feng Tu: "I'm making it, I'm making it."
Nighttime
Feng Tu: "Is this right? Did I do... a good job?"
Mingyue: "You did a great job, A Tu."
