Fang Lan is a miserable college guy. His group project involves transmigrating into various worlds to conduct research. Since he's an introvert, his group has only two members: him and his childhood friend Nanshu.
"Please draw your character card..."
A flash of white light, and the same nightmare plays out for the umpteenth time:
When Fang Lan is an orphan whose family has been destroyed and who has become a sacrificial offering, his childhood friend sits securely atop the Ten Thousand Mountains as a mountain god, revered by all.
"Crap, it's so dark in here... Wait, who's touching me... The monster's here! Aah, don't eat me! Aaaaaah!"
A low voice came from deep within the cave. "It's me."
And then Fang Lan was carried off, person and plate together.
Ah, getting nibbled on by your childhood friend isn't shameful.
When Fang Lan is a low-ranking cultivator bullied by his fellow disciples, his childhood friend takes a different path and rules over a realm where all the demons run wild.
"Don't look down on the poor when they're young, middle-aged, or old! Aah, just you wait! One day I'll turn you all into bean paste!"
"Tell me who you want to kill. I can do it right now."
And then Fang Lan surrendered.
Ah, clinging to your childhood friend's leg isn't shameful.
When Fang Lan...
Fang Lan angrily smacked his own palm. What kind of luck is this? Look at everyone else!
To change his unlucky fate, Fang Lan even got superstitious for a while, bathing and burning incense before every card draw. Then one day, he accidentally swiped to the next page:
"Would you like to spend points to exchange for a special identity?"
Fang Lan: o.O?
In that instant, he finally understood why his childhood friend always spent every last point. There were only two cards, and Nanshu had bought the special identity. So of course Fang Lan would always be unlucky!
Fang Lan grabbed a forty-meter-long blade and went to chop him up, but then he suddenly had a thought...
"Would you like to exchange for a VIP special identity?"
"Yes!!!"
A flash of white light. This time, the scene was a magnificent palace. Fang Lan sat leisurely on the Dragon Throne, while a dark mass of people knelt below him. His childhood friend was among them, being held by the Imperial Guards, looking utterly disheveled and about to be thrown into prison the next moment.
Fang Lan: Hehe. That's what you get for being disloyal. You're done for.
Nanshu: O.o?
Little Scene:
The world believes that Nanshu, the treacherous minister who was thrown into the imperial prison and will never rise again, is actually spending every night in His Majesty's tent, casually looking through memorials while tying up the young emperor and playing pretend.
"Your Majesty is so good. Could you try a little harder?"
Fang Lan: ...Something feels off.
These points don't work either? (Throws a tantrum)
Reader's Guide:
1. An incredibly powerful but terribly unlucky, sarcastic bottom who goes, "If you look down on me, I'll just leave, all dejected," paired with a scheming, smiling-eyed top who makes his own opportunities when none exist and searches the forums every day for how to turn his straight roommate gay.
2. It's all roleplay between a sweet couple. A sweet story, with both of them doting on each other.
Theme: A young man should learn to read the situation!
