The blurb and title may change later, but the theme will remain similar to the current blurb, and the characters will stay as they are. This is still the story I want to write, with a feeling of mutual salvation. I've revised and uploaded the first four chapters.
Here's the old, unrevised introduction:
For Severus, helping her by chance was just a matter of not being able to stand by and watch. For Vivian, it was the only light in her life. Though the light was faint and wavering, sometimes barely able to sustain itself, Vivian knew it was the only light that belonged to her, a presence she would protect even if it meant flying into the flame.
Severus didn't know why he'd meddled, either. Maybe they were kindred spirits, or maybe he stood to gain something. Though he kept thinking that if he could do it all over again, he would never get involved and bring trouble upon himself, he knew that no matter how many times he started over, the moment he saw those stubborn, ink-dark eyes, he would still take that step without hesitation.
Severus Snape x Vivian Angelina
Warnings: The heroine is psychologically troubled and has brat tendencies.
I'll try to keep the characters in character. Read for fun, and if it's not to your taste, please just leave quietly.
The story is set in the Marauders' Era. The heroine is one year below Snape, and the story begins when she is in her first year and Snape is in his second. The heroine can use magic to heal other people's injuries, both external and internal, but the amount of magic she uses depends on the severity of the injury, and she can't heal herself. She also has a talent for influencing people's minds. When she activates this ability, her eyes turn red, and the person she's speaking to instinctively believes what she says. The effect depends on the other person's magical strength. This is a passive ability. The heroine can sense it, but doesn't really understand it at first. Later, she'll learn to make it active.
Theme: He, too, can become someone's light and fire.
