One day, she woke up to find a new app on her phone: the Shan Hai Agriculture and Animal Husbandry App.
When she tapped it open, the home page had a red background and huge gold characters proclaiming, "Learn in the New Era, Become the New Shan Hai." The forum was full of posts like:

"A Rescue Plan for Endangered Shan Hai Species"

Jiang Dao promptly shut off her phone. After taking a moment to recover, she opened the app again.
How weird. Better take another look.
She was wondering who had cooked up this prank app when a notification suddenly appeared on the screen:

The next second, someone tapped on her window. A red fox the size of a pomelo was crouched outside, peeking in at her.

Having somehow been saddled with the important task of "saving the plants and animals of Shan Hai," Jiang Dao plants rice in the fields by day and tends to immortal herbs when she gets home at night. In her spare time, she chats on the app with her cyber-farmer friends about growing immortal herbs and divine trees. She only wishes she were the playful Xiangliu, with its nine brains to handle everything.
In the new century, as the land of Huaxia soars once more, mythical creatures from ancient times gradually awaken and learn to walk the earth in human form.
To save the Shan Hai clans on the brink of extinction, the gods follow the will of Heaven and seek out a descendant of Shennong, hoping to revive the splendor of Shan Hai with the help of human technology.
They only meant to give it a try. They never expected this young girl to lead a band of demons and spirits in turning thousands of miles of wasteland into fertile fields, and eventually even grow a divine Peach of Immortality tree.

Munching on honey-sweet peaches and juicy ginseng fruit, Jiang Dao sends rice seeds improved with Zhuyu grass to a research institute, doing her part for the cause of "keeping the people free from hunger."
During harvest season, surrounded by mountains full of fruits, vegetables, and grain, with animals racing and soaring across land, sea, and sky, Jiang Dao hums a tune, puts on her little straw hat, hops on her three-wheeled scooter, and happily sets off to patrol the mountains with her girlfriends~
