In the eastern kingdom, there are civets, born in Xiayin.
The civets are divided into three clans: the White Elders, the Abyssal Ones, and the Spotted Leopards.
The White Elder clan produces one Earth Guardian every hundred years.
The Earth Guardian has nine lives and roams the Yellow Springs Road.
"Xiayin, winter of 1754: the eighth-generation Earth Guardian has died."
