My Husband Is a Government Employee in the Underworld

This novel is complete. My next novel, Once You Enter a Wealthy Family, the Depths Are Like the Sea, is coming soon.

The plot has gone off the rails.

Funeral shop owner X government-employed underworld reaper

--

Xu Yi had just turned eighteen when he married someone. He thought they'd live separate lives after the wedding. Who could have guessed that not only would his husband be extremely clingy, but he wouldn't even be human!

-

The funeral shop his grandfather left him stays closed during the day. At exactly eight every night, its doors open. The customers who come must meet certain conditions, or Xu Yi will be the one to suffer.

"Do you believe that people really reap what they sow?"

"Don't worry. Everything you've done has meaning. Even if you die, someone will seek justice for you."

His husband isn't human. He's a civil servant in the underworld. If he'd said so earlier, Xu Yi would have clung to this powerful connection for dear life.

Here are some of their everyday conversations:

"It's cold now. Don't hold me while we sleep anymore."

"Honey, you can sleep in your thermal underwear."

"Get down there!"

"Then, sweetheart, could you burn some money for me? I lost a bet with my big brother, and now I'm down to my underwear."

So what if he's a government employee? He still got scammed!!!

The romance and the plot each take up half the story.

Theme: Uphold the good and the true in the human world, and believe that good deeds are rewarded
