A player accidentally stumbled across a no-frills little game on a gaming platform. It was called "Comeback: How to Reach the Pinnacle of Life."
Driven by inexplicable curiosity, the player clicked into the game.
In the game, the player's character was named Tan Rongcui. He was the real young master, switched at birth and raised by the wrong family, and he did not return to his biological parents until he was eighteen.
But whether it was his biological parents or his siblings, they all favored the fake young master over the real one.
And the player took the role of the real young master.
The game let players choose all kinds of paths in life: becoming a global superstar, an academic powerhouse, the world's richest person, and so on.
The player happily began his gaming journey, only to be talked into quitting by the game's NPCs ten minutes later.
Unwilling to give up, the player finally chose the power of money: paying to win.
With the help of his pay-to-win golden finger, the player was finally able to resume the game.
Something big had happened recently to the Yun family of S City. It had come to light that the youngest son they had doted on for eighteen years was not actually their blood. The real young master of the Yun family was a child from an ordinary household.
Everyone was looking forward to the drama of the Yun family's real and fake young masters.
And the Yun family did not disappoint. Just a month later, a tabloid reporter photographed the newly returned real young master leaving the Yun estate with a suitcase.
Everyone thought the farce had finally come to an end.
But no one could have imagined that in the years to come, the real young master named Tan Rongcui would become a towering mountain above them all, someone they could only look up to.
The player was frustrated. Why was his golden finger a secret identity System?
Thankfully, beneath the secret identity System, the parent System, were plenty of subsidiary Systems, so each of his secret identities could have its own System.
Don't ask why. The answer is simply that he was a distinguished paying player!
Reader's Notes:
1. The story includes some stand-in plotlines, but our player won't be following those.
2. The golden finger is very powerful. Every secret identity is the protagonist himself. To outsiders, there will seem to be emotional entanglements between the secret identities and the protagonist, but in reality there are none.
3. The early story features some real-and-fake-young-master plotlines, but the middle and later parts focus on his career.
4. The player is God!
5. The blurb may be revised, but the core wish-fulfillment will not change.
