A Newbie Player Sets the Jujutsu World Straight

The full-dive game "Jujutsu O War" has begun its closed beta, with a limited number of spots being raffled off online.

Amamiya Kai is lucky enough to win one.

The bad news: he has never played a game before.

But that is no big deal. The official website says an intelligent AI system will provide assistance throughout.

As a reader who was badly traumatized by the manga, Amamiya Kai spends the night searching the internet for game guides, swearing to achieve the happy ending.

After becoming a new student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Amamiya Kai presents the strongest duo at the school with cakes in both sweet and savory flavors. "Today, we swear brotherhood in this peach garden and rise up together!"

Gojo/Geto: ?

System: Hello, player. This is not a game about conquering the world.

Amamiya Kai waves dismissively. "If you're a sorcerer, then join me in conquering the world!"

Gojo's eyes light up. "What grade sorcerer are you?"

System: A friendly reminder: You are currently level 1. The final boss, the King of Curses, is level 100. You must defeat the King of Curses to clear the game.

Amamiya Kai, furious: "I'll pay to win! I want to reach level 100 today!"

System: To level up, you need to exorcise cursed spirits. The game gives you one free draw every day, which can grant you skills and items.

Amamiya Kai draws "Copy."

System: Congratulations, you can copy anyone's cursed technique.

Amamiya Kai draws "Evenly Matched."

System: Congratulations, you'll always be evenly matched with anyone you fight.

The uprising plan fails, and Amamiya Kai angrily defects.

Amamiya Kai: "So, the Star Religious Group, huh? Let me teach you the right way to run a cult!"

Until one day, the Six Eyes prodigy corners him. "I defected too!"

Amamiya Kai: ? I must be doing something wrong!

Reader's Guide:

1. The protagonist has never played a game before and relies entirely on guides he finds online. But there are so many kinds of games, and the guides he finds are all over the place, so his behavior gets pretty unhinged.

2. The protagonist is weak at first and has to level up step by step. He'll draw all sorts of bizarre skills, though.

Core Idea: Overthrow the feudal jujutsu world.
