The Train of Life

[Mystery + time travel + deduction + mild horror + each train car is a different time and space]

Chen Xiatian was a salesperson for optical microscopes. He took samples with him to promote them at universities in Guangzhou. Because of rush-hour traffic, he missed his original high-speed train and changed his ticket to another service, a slow green train.

At the same time, he received a news alert: on January 31, 2018, an astronomical event known as a "blood moon + supermoon + blue moon" would occur. He paid it no attention, until he met a university student on the train who was fascinated by astronomy and science fiction. The student told him that a total lunar eclipse could cause strange phenomena on Earth.

After the total lunar eclipse, the Z99 train he was riding suffered a serious accident. Six cars, including the locomotive and dining car, were left stranded on a broken bridge. The train conductor immediately contacted the authorities, and a rescue team set out at once.

That night, as the passengers slept soundly aboard the train, Chen Xiatian saw the conductor and an attendant carrying a body covered with a white blanket past his feet.

He remembered his father, who had died on a train six years earlier... By a twist of fate, he began searching for the real person who had murdered his father.
