The Court of Owls happened upon an ancient text describing a secret ritual to summon XXXX. According to the text, the summoned being would have the following traits:
They are a god.
They are a colossal dragon.
They possess the power to alter reality.
They are closely tied to the creation and destruction of the world.
They cannot enter the material universe on their own and require a suitable sacrifice.
The owls rejoiced: It had to be their ultimate goal, Barbatos!
They nervously prepared the ritual as instructed, summoned the sacrifice best suited to serve as a god's vessel, and prayed devoutly for its arrival.
Black sludge surged from the altar, devouring the sacrifice and the court members kneeling on the ground. It flowed through Gotham's extensive underground waterways and out into the nearby sea.
Magic gathered on the ocean floor, and Tiamat, the great Mother of Life banished by her children to the Imaginary Sea, descended!
A red-eyed girl with enormous dragon horns hovered above the sea and announced her return to the world: Ahuuu~
P.S.: The Tiamat in this story isn't the real one. If the real one descended into the world, it would truly be the end! She's similar to Ishtar in Absolute Demonic Front, existing in a state of seven parts deity and three parts sacrifice.
"I gave birth to countless lives, and all beings once loved me. But my children treated me as a stepping stone and left me behind. I want to keep loving them. I want them to stay by my side forever. Could my love... really have been wrong?" - Tiamat
Batman: I understand all that, but in the thirtieth year since I lost Martha, isn't it a little strange that I've got a mother again?
The Sacrifice: I understand all that, but I was just drawn in by Tiamat's short videos. I'd watched the Absolute Demonic Front anime and was thinking about getting into the game when I was summoned to another world as the sacrifice best suited to serve as a god's vessel. That's definitely weird!
Everyone else: From today on, "reprocessing" won't just apply to objects, but to people too. Aaaaaah! The black sludge is here!!!
P.P.S.: This story has no main plot and will most likely unfold as a series of short stories.
