Uchiumi Tenma made a name for himself playing volleyball in high school, leading Karasuno to the national quarterfinals, but he didn't keep playing.
He went into manga instead.
But his debut manga was canceled before it could finish.
After watching a match played by a younger player who had taken up volleyball because of him, he finally found inspiration for a new story.
He started drawing a volleyball manga, and it became a huge hit.
But before he had drawn very much, he died suddenly from overwork after pushing himself through an intense, irregular schedule.
Now that he's back in his third year of high school, what path should he take?
When he happens to catch sight of that figure on the ice, Uchiumi Tenma has a strange idea.
Why not give it a try?
There are still years to go before the time when he officially debuted as a manga artist in his previous life. What would happen if he tried this instead?

1. This idea came out of nowhere. I figured Uchiumi's leg strength might give him at least a bit of an advantage when practicing those jumps, maybe? Anyway, I wanted to write about him because I think he's a really charming guy.
2. No angst. Any OOC characterization is my fault.
3. I haven't decided on a romantic pairing yet. I'll see where the story goes, and there might not be one at all. There could just be some unexpected, subtle feelings that are never spoken aloud. Anything is possible.
