"Starts when enough people add it to their collections"
Mikoshiba Anri is forced to fill in for an actor whose career has crashed and take part in a competitive acting reality show.
Once she joins the show, being mocked across the internet is all but inevitable, because she has never taken a single acting class.
Then someone recommends the full-dive game The Taisho Random Chronicle, whose selling points are a distinctive Japanese fantasy setting, a random simulator, and a highly immersive, open-ended experience.
Getting thrown into a random scenario with no preparation... Isn't that just intensive improv training?
Anri quickly searches through past episodes to find the show's most frequent test topics and decides to practice each one-on-one.
A 21-day crash course in acting! Begin!

She opens the random simulator.
/
On your first run, you randomly get the [Madwoman Simulator].
After losing your child, you wander the slums of the Yoshiwara pleasure district. Among diseased courtesans and beggars, you cling desperately to a filthy, flea-covered little monster who was nearly beaten to death.
He is gaunt, with ugly black spots all over his face, and is barely alive.
Out of your mind, you mistake him for your dead eldest son, Taro. You weep hysterically, your heart aching unbearably, babbling incoherently.
You wish you could wrap your whole self around him.
This treasure, regained after being lost, must never be taken from you again.
The first run ends. You gain a deeper understanding of improvisation and family drama.
/
On your second run, you randomly get the [Dog-Training Simulator].
Here, "dog" refers to a human being.
The human who takes you in, Shi, is a gentle, lonely country girl with no one to rely on.
Then one day, she suddenly brings home a withdrawn boy with a birthmark on his forehead. He seems quiet and slow-witted, completely out of place in the human world, like an untamed stray dog.
You decide to tame him.
You train him like a dog, giving him bones and punishing him.
You make him grow accustomed to your scent, and respond only to your calls.
It's enough for a puppy's world to revolve around you.
The second run ends. You gain a deeper understanding of fight scenes and emotional tension.
/
On your third run, you randomly get the [Cultist Simulator].
You were once the youngest daughter of a noble family. Abandoned by your family while fleeing a war, kidnapped by bandits, and passed from hand to hand as a slave and courtesan, you are finally offered up as a believer to the leader of the Eternal Paradise Cult.
A monster born without emotions, who sees death as salvation.
His offhand words, "You can stay here," give all your unhealthy emotions a vessel.
Unable to bear being abandoned again, your desire turns into an obsession with possessing him. You even hope to become the only god he believes in.
But he remains an empty shell, incapable of feeling anything, unable to understand or feel love.
He is only curious about you, as if you were some strange specimen.
In the bottomless depths of pain, a vast hatred takes root within you.
You swear you will make him experience the same pain as you. To do so, you are willing to pay any price.
The third run ends. You gain a deeper understanding of tragic love born from hatred.
/
On your fourth run, you randomly get the [Survival Simulator].
You are a fugitive with an innocent face, good at playing sweet, but in truth you have a nasty temper and a dark personality.
To evade capture, you hide in a small mountain temple, where a compassionate, blind monk takes you in.
He gradually realizes that you are not as innocent and kind as you pretend to be.
To avoid being thrown out, you cling to his broad back like a dodder vine.
You want him to cross the line for his own selfish reasons, so he can never again pity all living beings with pure, impartial compassion.
/
On your fifth run, you randomly get the [Fake Romance Simulator].
You meet a boy who can hear other people's thoughts.
'An expression he has spent his whole life longing for shouldn't belong to a liar.'
"Why won't you lie to me anymore? ... Nobody wants me."
After you deceive him into falling for you, the timid boy hugs his knees, his eyes red-rimmed.
/
On your sixth run, you randomly get the [Happy Family Simulator].
You are born as a baby. Your reserved young elder brother leans down beside you and whispers, "I'm your big brother."
Looking at his soft silver hair, you decide to take on the challenge of portraying forbidden love.
On your nth run, you randomly get the [Succubus Simulator].
You are neither ghost nor human. You must absorb emotions to fill your hunger meter and stay alive.
But why do you get full so easily...?
A player with selective memory impairment quickly forgets other people as soon as she loses contact with them.
So all she can do is stare blankly into pairs of eyes pleading with her not to leave.
You reunite with everyone, but you have no idea who they are.
.
The long-dead white moonlight has returned.
Anri sticks to a simple rule: once she has figured out a role, hurry up and die so she can restart. She tries out roles and restarts all the way through.
Then she joins the show and suddenly tops the trending searches!

[Read Before You Start]
* The main story is told in third person.
* Expect lots of canon-couple breakups and out-of-character portrayals. Avoid if that's not for you.
* A harem-style Mary Sue story with the heroine attracting everyone. This is my take on the simulator genre, with multiple routes and endings. In the game, the heroine only wants to improve her acting and thinks of herself as a player.
Theme: Hard work can create miracles.
