At the end of April, Kageura Sakuichi saw a ghost.
His teammate from six years ago moved into the apartment next door without a word. After petting him like a cat for several days, he brazenly climbed into Sakuichi's bed.
Kageura Sakuichi was a little confused, but he could just about accept it.
Maybe the guy was exhausted?
He told himself that, then reached out and pushed the man over a little to make room to sleep. In the end, he remarked, Your pecs are kind of in the way, bro.
Some time later, when he saw his teammate still refusing to leave the bed, he looked at his bank balance and reluctantly bought a tatami mat, then slept on the floor himself.
He was a real martyr. He gave himself a pat on the back.
One day, he came home late from work and saw that the lights were off. Thinking his teammate had finally left without saying goodbye, he was just about to open a beer to celebrate when someone grabbed his tie and pinned him against the wall. "How long are you going to keep pretending?"
He looked at the man pressing something against him and furrowed his brows in bewilderment. "Pretending what, to be a man?"
I've always been one. Aren't you?
Those emerald eyes stared him down. Each word came slowly and distinctly: "Ex. Boyfriend."
Seeing his innocence was at stake, Kageura Sakuichi hurriedly put both hands on the man's shoulders. "Huh? Who?" Me? No way, no way. When did we ever date?
And... weren't you asexual?
"..."
It seems we remember things completely differently.

In high school, Kageura Sakuichi had been the tail trailing after Kita Shinsuke, and he wore his likes and dislikes on his sleeve.
He was sure he'd never told Suna that he liked him.
Suna gave him a crooked smile, swiped open his phone, and shoved it in front of him. "See for yourself."
He opened the first video. At their high school graduation party, he was gripping Suna's wrist and biting a ring-shaped mark into his ring finger, mumbling that he wanted to put a ring on him.
Kageura Sakuichi's hand trembled as he swiped to the next video. In a dim bedroom, he glanced at the screen and immediately turned it off. Just as he was about to offer a feeble smile and an excuse, he heard his own voice from six years ago making an incredibly loud, clingy demand:
"Rintaro, I want some water."
He believed it.
He begged him not to play any more.
He was so guilty that he'd agree to anything Suna asked.
=
"I recorded that."
"What?"
"You just said you'd agree to anything."
Bonus scene:
Once Suna got what he wanted, he checked the trash collection schedule, threw the tatami mat downstairs, and moved in with the other man.
Staring at the bedroom with only one bed, Kageura Sakuichi clutched his butt. His voice was guilty, but not quiet: "Rintaro, I-I haven't agreed to get back together with you!"
Suna Rintaro tossed him onto the bed, then slowly pulled off his tie and smoothed it out. Under Kageura Sakuichi's watchful gaze, he took his time tying his wrists together. "Why did you stop shouting?"
Huh?
Sorry, he was too stunned to speak just now. He's shouting now.
Suna, who hadn't planned to go through with it, smiled.
Too late.

A widely known "ice-cold seduction king" in the volleyball world x a working stiff with unusual kinks who talks back (younger version: a sunny, cheerful, clingy golden retriever)
[Important Notes Before Reading!!!]
1. I'm a working stiff on the verge of a breakdown, and I've realized everything I write has a vibe of taking revenge on society (?). So I'm taking a little break with a short story!!
2. Important: This is a romance-focused story, and the matches only appear in flashbacks. If romance-focused stories aren't for you, please stop here!!
Memories can lie.
When someone is there for you at your lowest, that alone can change your fate.
Theme: The stars buried deep in the mud can only be plucked by your own hand
I feel like I have a light sense of humor
"Karasuno" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ me too
I really want to know what's in Chapter 22!!! 😭😭
Change, change, change... I changed until I got tired of it and still couldn't put it out. I really didn't write anything [changed][changed][changed]
It looks great, come on!
Oh, but why did the protagonist forget this?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
