In her previous life, Yao Jiasi was the daughter of a prominent family, but she was sickly and died before she turned twenty. She was reborn as an ordinary commoner, and began writing stories for a living.
The protagonist of her stories is her hapless former fiance. They'd been at each other's throats ever since they were students, and never married before Yao Jiasi died.
After being reborn, Yao Jiasi vents her anger by turning the man into a villain in her story. The story sells well and becomes a hit in the capital, but then her former fiance, now a general guarding the frontier, shows up at her door!
Danger! Is there still time to run?
