Nonhuman Love Interests (Anthology)

Arc 1: "The Mating Ritual" The world is a spiderweb of cracks, and all kinds of monsters crawl out through the fissures. A grotesque, indescribable monster has barely climbed out when it picks its mate. It spits out the monster it had eaten halfway, then excitedly pounces, only to be driven off by a rattling hail of bullets. Monster: QAQ It cleverly reshapes itself into a human. Lin Chi forms a monster-hunting team. They've been doing well lately, largely thanks to their powerful new recruit. It's just that this recruit... is an idiot. Teammate: "Wu Guai, what's your dream?" Wu Guai (monster), eyes shining: "Mating." Lin Chi: Don't look at me when you say that! Arc 2: "The Robot" I've always been with my husband. I take care of everything for him. He says I'm perfect. But now there's a second human in our world, and my husband says he's perfect. At that moment, I developed a bug. I'm not perfect anymore, and it upsets me so much that I develop an even worse malfunction. I wonder what the difference is between me and the second human. Then I realize: I don't have a third leg. So I find my husband and tell him, "I want one." Arc 3: "The Dark Mist's Attack" We took on human forms and put together a family. One day, our eldest brother brought home his fiance. I know he belongs to me, too. Because we made a deal: I can't take human form, so I'll get rid of anything that threatens us, and he'll share his wife with me. But my big brother says we have to take it slow and gradually help his fragile wife accept it. I can't wait! I can't stand him having my wife all to himself! So I ate him. Arc 4: "The Alien" "Human, I'm going to conquer Earth." The scientist looks at the little slime-like thing in front of him and pins it down with one finger. After rubbing it for a while, he finds it feels pretty nice. He decides to keep it as a little stress toy. Theme: There's no shame in working hard for your dreams.
