Xi Ruoli transmigrated into a book.
The hero in the book is gentle and refined, and the heroine is kind and generous. Together, they roam the martial world, slay demons, and make a legendary couple.
Xi Ruoli rubs her chin. Is she supposed to break up the destined couple and win over the hero?
The System says irritably, "No. Your target is Yin Zhiheng."
Yin Zhiheng, the book's most deranged villain, nearly killed the still-growing hero and heroine before they could come into their own.
Xi Ruoli is horrified. Is she supposed to win him over?
The System says, "No. Once you've built up enough hatred points, let him kill you, and you can go home."

The young villain is alone and miserable, enduring one hardship after another. He lives in a doghouse made of weeds and eats moldy steamed buns. When Xi Ruoli happens upon him being bullied, his body covered in injuries, she is dressed in a pale pink silk robe, with a gold hairpin in her hair and an air of haughty pride. As the villain looks at her with hope, Xi Ruoli smiles sweetly, then steps on his wound. The villain turns his head and spits out a mouthful of blood. "How dare a little bastard like you steal my things."
The villain, now growing up, is tormented by his monstrous form and lies on the brink of death. The kindhearted heroine happens to save him, and from then on, a light appears in his heart. Even a monster can disguise itself in a human form, and for a while they all live together in harmony. But the good times don't last. Xi Ruoli sticks a talisman to the villain, and he can no longer maintain his human appearance. Their peaceful life falls apart, and the villain leaves in disgrace.
Later, after the villain has fallen into darkness, he sees the hero and heroine fall in love just as fate intended. Hatred rises in his heart, and he abandons the weakened hero in a desperate situation. Yin Zhiheng turns away with a cold laugh, only to see Xi Ruoli standing with the heroine, looking back at him from afar. The heroine's eyes are full of disappointment.

The System says delightedly, "Congratulations, Host. The villain Yin Zhiheng's hatred points have reached their peak."
The next second, it cries out in horror, "The hatred points have turned into love points!"
