Glass Snow Mountain

/Until I See the Everlasting Snow Mountains/

Wen Qingyue has a secret no one knows: she loves Si Yizhou, the older brother she gained when her mother remarried, though she knows this is a hopeless, unrequited love.

Meeting Lu Chiyu was an accident. He was Si Yizhou's friend.

At their first meeting, he sat in the middle of a booth. His face was hard to make out in the dim light as his long, slender fingers toyed with a lighter.

Wen Qingyue didn't belong there. She endured the choking smell of smoke, hoping Si Yizhou would hurry back from taking a call outside.

As she stood there helplessly, a low, languid voice spoke up, as if casually saying, "Put out the cigarette."

The person smoking beside her glanced at Wen Qingyue and apologized with an ingratiating smile.

The day she decided to give up on Si Yizhou, Wen Qingyue went alone to the snow-capped mountains to clear her head.

Only after landing did she see Si Yizhou's message. He said he was worried about her safety and had arranged for someone to look after her.

Standing at the arrivals gate, Wen Qingyue didn't see the person who was supposed to meet her. Instead, she spotted a familiar, tall and straight figure in the crowd.

Before she could even wonder why Lu Chiyu was there, he walked up to her, and she watched in astonishment as he took her suitcase.

"Why are you here?"

Later, outside, the world was buried in ice and snow. Inside, the alcohol made their cheeks burn.

One reckless night.

Their friends were all shocked to hear that Lu Chiyu would bring his girlfriend. Si Yizhou hadn't really cared, until he saw who Lu Chiyu was holding hands with. His glass slipped from his fingers and shattered across the floor.

That night, outside Wen Qingyue's apartment, Si Yizhou apologized again and again, begging her to forgive him, but got no response.

Inside, Wen Qingyue was too overwhelmed to speak. In the moment she gasped for breath, Lu Chiyu bit her earlobe and rasped, "Tell him to get lost."

Happy ending. Five-year age gap.

The heroine is gentle and slow to catch on; the hero competes fiercely and fights for what he wants.
