Feng Cizhang transmigrates into a matriarchal world.

The empress dowager is gravely ill and expected to die soon, triggering a palace coup. The crown princess and the second princess are suspected of having killed each other overnight, and the entire court is in mourning.

The good news: this unpopular princess is now the sole heir to the throne and can claim it by default.

The bad news: powerful ministers interfere in government affairs, while the empress dowager rules from behind the curtain. Being a puppet emperor is a job even a dog wouldn't take.

Feng Cizhang, struggling to survive among the competing factions: I really don't want to inherit the throne anymore.

Core Theme: The making of an empress.
