General x Camp Courtesan
A body adrift like duckweed, a heart like the moon; a dream across a thousand mountains, with Liangzhou far away.

Yan Zhihuan was once a little bird cherished by the Divine Lord Meng Zhang. Every day, he walked on the heads of the gods and slapped the Divine Lord with his wings. His greatest pleasure was causing trouble for the Divine Lord, throwing his weight around thanks to the Divine Lord's favoritism.
Who could have known that while Yan Zhihuan was in the mortal realm for a meal, the Divine Lord Meng Zhang would suddenly die, the passage between the celestial and mortal realms would close, and Yan Zhihuan would be left stranded in the mortal world?
Grief-stricken at the loss of his meal ticket, Yan Zhihuan was approached by the Way of Heaven: "Become my spokesperson, and in a thousand years, I'll help you return to the celestial realm."
And so Yan Zhihuan's memories were sealed, and he became the Way of Heaven's spokesperson.
·
For six hundred years, Yan Zhihuan diligently helped the Way of Heaven reduce what was excessive, replenish what was lacking, settle karmic debts, and govern the seasons. The tasks were trivial and simple, but also dull and tedious.
He was even growing sick of them.
When he drifted into the Cave of No Light, intending as usual to follow the Way of Heaven's instructions and eliminate the evil demon inside, he suddenly met a pair of deep-set eyes.
A two-inch deviation of the sword in his hand earned him a vicious bite. Yan Zhihuan gently wiped the blood from his neck, his eyes glimmering with an inexplicable light. "Would you like to come with me?"
The evil demon was named Cang Shuo, and he was no easy character. He hated this person and that, stirring up unrest across three mountains and five cities.
But Yan Zhihuan didn't stop him. He thought: Someone locked away for three hundred years in a place where they couldn't see the sun was bound to grow a little dark inside. That was understandable.
And having gone so long without seeing another person, it was understandable that he would crave touch more than most, too... right?
*
Later, Cang Shuo raised a sword capable of destroying heaven and earth.
He turned to the person who had always stood by his side and asked, word by word:
"Today, I will make this filthy world disappear for good."
"Are you not going to stop me?"
Yan Zhihuan looked at him and smiled. "I told you I'd always stand by your side."
The Way of Heaven flew into a rage and unleashed a divine punishment. Yan Zhihuan's divine power was exhausted, and his divine bones were peeled inch by inch from his flesh. Golden blood spilled across the ground.
Cang Shuo watched that figure. With his divine power spent, Yan Zhihuan was more fragile than a mortal, as if a gust of wind could knock him down.
Yet he stood straight in front of Cang Shuo, his fiery red hair and snow-white robe whipping in the gale.
Cang Shuo suddenly remembered those three hundred years in the past, when there had been no light in the Cave of No Light.
He had thought there would never be any again in this life.
Until Yan Zhihuan appeared.
Theme: Love can mend the cracks in a person's heart.

"His irritated and low "tsk"..." This is a big bug for the author~
