The Scheming Little Alpha Is Learning to Mark

*Reader's Guide: ABO setting (with a sidekick!!!), a one-sided ex-lover's crematorium, a sweet romance, and a little running-away-while-pregnant plot. [An obstinate older Omega who pretends life is hard but discovers the joys of sex and can't get enough of it x A younger Alpha who's inexperienced at marking and a scheming wolf in sheep's clothing] On their eighth anniversary, Song Ping'an broke up with her Alpha girlfriend of eight years. After drinking, her girlfriend let the truth slip, laughing with her friends about how wonderful it had been to treat Song Ping'an as a thoughtful live-in maid while carrying on flirtations with other people throughout their relationship. In her girlfriend's eyes, Song Ping'an was a tacky little Omega who was always trying to compete with others despite having come from a poor background, and who insisted on suffering rather than accepting help. The designer handbag Song Ping'an bought her girlfriend with money earned from three jobs was dismissed as an embarrassing entry-level model. Song Ping'an had wanted to wait until marriage before getting intimate, because she was determined to stick to her principles. Her girlfriend called her an outdated old fossil for it. Unable to stand it any longer, one of her friends said, "Ping'an really is a good Omega. She's practically perfect for you. Don't you think you're going too far?" Her girlfriend replied, "What's the big deal? That tacky little Omega should consider herself lucky I even looked her way." Then she laughed and asked her friend, "Do you think that if I proposed, Song Ping'an wouldn't fall to her knees and cry thank you?" Song Ping'an stood silently just a meter away, listening as they laughed and crushed the eight years of love she'd been so proud of, then stomped all over it in disgust. She was a dignified person, but some people had no dignity at all. So Song Ping'an didn't hold back. She swept the half-eaten leftovers off the table and onto her girlfriend. As everyone stared in shock, Song Ping'an curled her lips into a smile, said, "We're completely over," and walked away. She went straight to a bar to drink herself into a stupor, where she met a lively, adorable young Alpha with rosy lips and pearly teeth. The girl asked her, "Miss, could I borrow a light?" That borrowed light led to a night together. Song Ping'an couldn't tell which of them was the kindling and which was the flame. She only knew that when she opened her eyes, she couldn't stop reliving it. Huo Xin had spent 23 years as a chaste, desire-free Bodhisattva. Then, on her 24th birthday, she finally broke her vow. She never smoked, yet she had insisted on using the clumsy excuse of asking for a light to start a conversation. Heaven knew how sweaty her palms had been in that moment. The rejection she'd expected never came. The Omega simply paused for a moment, then handed her a brand-new, unused designer lighter. It had once been a regret, an unsent gift. From then on, it became a treasure Huo Xin cherished. She'd borrowed a light and ended up in bed. The other woman held back, refusing to reveal even a hint of vulnerability. Huo Xin lost her mind and insisted on breaking through the other woman's defenses. She wanted to carve her name into that stubborn little Omega's heart. After a night of losing control, they woke with the other woman's body covered in her scent. But she clutched her waist and told Huo Xin she needed more practice. Fine. If she thought Huo Xin wasn't skilled enough, Huo Xin would practice with her again and again until she was. Theme: A good relationship helps people become better.
