[Lighthearted Sweet Romance] [Cultural Relics Personified (Not Really)] [Museum Management]
[Warm and refined, yet slightly devious, a captivating artifact spirit beauty on the receiving end
A composed, old-fashioned innocent with a constant inner monologue x a huge cat of an attacker]
Yuan Ci, a porcelain cup, slept for five thousand years. When he woke, the first thing he saw was a cat that could talk.
The cat asked, “Would you like to open a museum?”
Yuan Ci meant to refuse, but along the way, he happened upon a white-haired Pixiu.
No matter how hard you try, you just can’t defeat something fluffy.
Tricked and coaxed into binding with an artifact-protection System that looked like a cat, he had to run a museum.
If he didn’t, both he and the cat System would be done for.
That would have been bad enough, but when he opened the museum, it was completely empty. The only artifact there was a mostly intact crystal cup.
And even that needed restoration before it could be properly displayed.
Yuan Ci: “...”
I’m not saying a word until the artifact restorer arrives!
That was what he said, but he still had to complete the tasks.
And so, a museum with no staff was born.
An elegant Warring States crystal cup became a beauty blogger online and grew increasingly irritable.
“Retweet for a chance to win lipstick for fifty people... I didn’t win. Can I still get one? Send me your address. I’ll draw one myself.”
A bronze cuckoo cart dressed in a robe embroidered with talisman patterns wore an exasperated expression and spouted nothing but nonsense.
“What if yesterday’s streamer draws you? ... Young people, remember this: never mind what you remember, just remember this. When you face difficulties, don’t be afraid, because even if you are afraid, they’re still difficulties.”
A dignified artifact game piece was named the fastest thing in the museum by the livestream chat. Every time the camera panned past, all anyone could see was a blur.
The truth was that there were 361 game pieces, and he had split himself into 361 human forms.
But the one who appeared most often in everyone’s sight was still the young curator.
Yuan Ci often held the Pixiu, disguised as a white cat, while introducing the artifacts in the museum.
[The young curator is lovely...]
[...but that cat is a little scary.]
In the corner of the shot, the white Pixiu lounged on a display case, lazily swishing his tail. His wings were tucked neatly against his back.
The scary orange cat was jumping furiously beneath the case, its arched back almost forming a perfect curve.
“Ying Cheng! For meow’s sake! You’re really getting on my nerves!”
The Pixiu elegantly licked his paw, paying no attention to the furious orange cat. One sentence was enough to calm him down.
“What’s wrong with me sleeping in my boyfriend’s bed?”
Yuan Ci, who could understand both cats, gave an awkward cough in front of the camera.
After the livestream ended, in the private lounge.
Yuan Ci leaned against the sofa with his eyes closed, resting. The Pixiu twitched his ears.
The next second, a weight landed on Yuan Ci. The Pixiu had turned into a man and was sprawled firmly on top of him, casting a shadow over him.
His tail slid beneath Yuan Ci’s clothes and brushed against his warm waist, tightening around it possessively.
But he looked at Yuan Ci with innocent eyes, rubbing his ears against Yuan Ci’s hand.
Yuan Ci tapped his head. “Get off. You’re tickling me.”
The man took his hand as if to pull him into an embrace, buried his face in the crook of Yuan Ci’s shoulder, and pressed a burning kiss there, whining in a muffled voice.
“That orange cat System was mean to me.”

[Level-headed, fearless horror-game streamer x shy, timid, easygoing ghost]
Shi Wu is a person, and also a streamer who broadcasts playthroughs of all kinds of horror games.
Anyone who regularly streams horror games knows that a little humor is needed to break the tension.
So, thanks to his unique comedic flair, a voice that made listeners swoon, and his interactions with the viewers in his chat, Shi Wu became a minor sensation.
One day, while trying out a new game demo, he said in an obnoxiously cheeky tone, as a screen full of exclamation marks appeared, “I’m done playing. My closet just moved.”
[No, aaaaaah! Streamer, your closet really did move! Aaaaaah!]
With an air of disdain, Shi Wu turned around to play along and met the dark eyes of a spotless, pale young man sitting on top of the closet.
The catch was... he was floating.
Shi Wu: “...”
I’m not cut out for this.
A ghost can greatly improve its happiness as a ghost, supposedly, by raising a human of its own.
But Wu Jiu was a reclusive ghost. For him, a quiet life alone was already happiness.
He moved back into the house he had bought while alive and became a ghost living by himself.
He just didn’t know why his house had been rented out.
Wu Jiu was forced to have a very noisy human for a roommate.
People shout while playing games to make their livestreams more entertaining.
Then, without even realizing it, they startle Wu Jiu when he floats by.
As time went on, whenever the computer screen flickered and the keyboard clattered, Wu Jiu would automatically sit on the closet behind him and silently watch.
Like a pet owner keeping an eye on a cat, except the pet owner had a physical form and the ghost did not.
Sometimes the human would crow proudly, “That was a clutch play! Haters, say something!”
Other times, after getting beaten red-faced by a monster, he would switch screens and pretend nothing had happened. “I just started streaming.”
The ghost watched the human for a long time.
When it rained, the human went home by himself. When he was hungry, he cooked for himself. Aside from liking to make a racket and having an unhealthy sleep schedule, to a ghost, he was simply...
After sitting on his favorite closet for a long while, the ghost finally came up with a phrase.
The man of his dreams.
Easygoing, easy to care for, and no trouble at all.
He could be raised.
On the first day of officially raising him, Wu Jiu planned to adjust the human’s sleep schedule.
He sat on the closet, staring at the human’s back, still unable to come up with a plan.
But the human’s gaze traveled from the chaotic screen to him.
In an instant, the human’s eyes went round and his expression turned blank, as shocked as a cat hearing its owner speak cat language.
Wu Jiu thought it over and decided to leave his reclusive corner and say his first words to the human he was raising.
Something witty, like the human. Leave a good impression...
“Roommates. We split it three-seven, three for you and seven for me... Sound good?”
“...”
“Sounds good...”
