[My next story is A Sickly Beauty Runs Away from the Wedding and Returns with a Child. It’s a melodramatic story about a sickly beauty who runs away while pregnant, only for his lover to fail to recognize the child. If you’re interested, please add it to your collection!]
Xin Rong is bound to a Villainous Cannon Fodder System. His job is to trip up the career-focused, love-averse protagonists... er, be their stepping stone.
“Don’t worry,” the boy says, putting on a stern little face as he speaks in a soft voice. “I’m super evil!”
But then...
An imperial general gives up his future for him, a top-tier star retires from the spotlight for him, and an emperor of the ages hands over his kingdom for him...
Held in the protagonist’s arms and kissed, the pretty young man protests through tears:
“D-Don’t you care about your career anymore?”
The man chuckles and kisses the top of his head.
“Isn’t it right here in my arms?”
[World One: Interstellar ABO]
Xin Rong is a devoted lackey at the side of the fake young master, the imperial marshal’s son. He is ordered to trample the real young master, the protagonist, into the dirt.
He has no qualms about drugging or stabbing him.
He’s a natural at scheming and framing people.
When he accidentally gives the protagonist a love letter meant for the fake young master, he thinks quickly and decides to roll with it, throwing himself into the protagonist’s arms.
After all, toying with people’s feelings is the highest form of villainy.
Later, the truth comes out, and the crazed protagonist locks him away in a dark cell.
“Everything he owns belongs to me now.”
Xin Rong closes his eyes and waits to die, but hears the man’s cold voice break apart, word by word:
“Of course... that includes you.”
[World Two: Reborn in the Entertainment Industry]
A grassroots singer who died horribly in his previous life is reborn and swears to make his enemies pay in blood.
But he discovers that the supposedly vicious and ruthless black-hearted boss is a porcelain doll who can’t even look after himself.
When he’s hungry, he needs to be fed. When he gets a scratch, he needs someone to blow on it. At the slightest provocation, his eyes turn red at the corners and he says, “It hurts.”
His lips are moist, his voice soft and sweet.
The protagonist’s fists clench.
...And other things, too.
Later, Xin Rong is placed under house arrest in a luxurious mansion. The hands that should have been demanding his life tremble as they close around his neck.
“I’ll do the dirty work.”
He had wanted vengeance in blood, but was now willing to dirty his own hands for him.
“This life, you just stay innocent.”
[Bonus scenes]
“I did slap you, but my hand hurts too! You... you’re not allowed to yell at me!”
The most iconic line from the System’s worst Host.
“You hurt me? So what? You put in the effort for me, and that’s all that matters. Don’t you have a wife who’d put in the effort for you?”
The protagonist’s courtroom statement after breaking countless storylines by going out of character.
System: Hello? Is anyone going to speak up for me?
Reader’s guide:
1. A spoiled, troublemaking beauty who cries as soon as he’s scolded × a career-minded top who turns into a lovesick, self-deluded wife-slave
2. 1v1, both pure, and they only have each other.
Here’s the blurb for my upcoming story, A Sickly Beauty Runs Away from the Wedding and Returns with a Child. Feel free to add it to your collection!
1.
Eight years since he ran from the wedding, and the child is seven.
Pei Yin sneaks into the Oan Empire with his frail body, all to rescue his tentacled child, who has been corrupted by an evil god.
Instead, he runs straight into his hapless ex-husband, Elmo.
The once-unfavored prince is now the Empire’s most popular candidate for heir.
Pei Yin is still reminiscing about how his ex’s baby fat has disappeared, while his child is already wrapping itself around the man’s finger.
Elmo stares at the squirming little thing, his expression chillingly cold.
“Where did this come from?”
Pei Yin raises an eyebrow. “I gave birth to him.”
“When?”
“Eight years ago, in November. Want me to calculate when he was conceived?”
Ten months earlier was their wedding night.
Surely he gets it now?
But Elmo’s eyes suddenly turn red, and he grabs Pei Yin by the wrist.
“You ran away from our wedding and immediately slept with someone else?”
Pei Yin: “...?”
Is there something wrong with your brain?
2.
Elmo was never loved as a child. Even the Omega he was married off to thought he was beneath them and abandoned him on their wedding night.
They meet again eight years later, and that guy has a bastard with an unknown father.
He sneers. Perfect. He’ll settle the score with both father and child.
But this prisoner lives more comfortably than his master, lounging on the sofa in Elmo’s bedroom all day and eating grapes.
Elmo glances at his bare feet, frowns, and bends down.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spots the little tentacle using all eight arms to eagerly trim Pei Yin’s nails. He scoffs coldly.
“You let yourself be bossed around and still enjoy it. You have no backbone at all.”
“Can’t help it.” Pei Yin tilts his head, sizing him up with an amused smile. “The child takes after his dad.”
Elmo’s face darkens.
Oh, so the bastard is a devoted lackey.
He thinks scornfully.
Completely unaware that he’s kneeling on the floor, putting socks on someone.
3.
Later, the truth comes out: the little tentacle wasn’t corrupted by an evil god.
His biological father is the evil god himself.
The entire Empire demands to know the evil god’s identity. Pei Yin suffers every torture imaginable, but still refuses to speak.
“You love him that much?” Elmo grinds his teeth. “You’d rather die than protect him?”
In the military court, Pei Yin is weak and breathless, but every word is resolute.
“The person I love is worth protecting with my life.”
After he dies, Elmo sits alone on the empty sofa all night.
At daybreak, he rises dazedly to warm milk for the little tentacle.
But no matter how he searches the bedroom, he can’t find that sticky little creature.
When he turns around, a seven- or eight-year-old boy stands before him, tear tracks still on his face and resentment in his eyes.
His face is exactly like Elmo’s.

Finished scattering flowers, will add 🎆 later
It's been a long time since I've cried several times while reading an article. It's very touching and the emotional description is very good. It makes people feel the perspective ???
"Zhu Rong was worried about his condition, so after the funeral, he carefully kissed him again to see if it was okay." This is a big bug for the author~ Ask him carefully again
"It can be delayed any longer. If the mental picture collapses at this time, Xin Rong's spiritual body will also die here. In that case, all his previous efforts will be in vain." Catch a big bug for the author~ Can't delay it any longer
[Orange Candy] I got [Purple Candy] kswl congratulations! Finished spreading flowers!!
