Blurb:
You have arrived in Gotham.
[Human Roleplaying Guide:
1. You need an identity.
2. You need to follow your character settings.
3. Always remember that you are human.]
Spoiler and content warning:
1. This is an indulgent work made to satisfy my personal tastes. Characters may be out of character, the timeline is chaotic, and different versions overlap. These are just a few of the disclaimers. All rights belong to DC; I'm creating an original spin-off.
2. This isn't traditional Anko (well, it's not proper Anko). The dice goddess mostly determines character settings, and there are fewer plot branches than in proper Anko. It also incorporates TRPG elements.
3. Some known information and sources of inspiration will be revealed. If you're interested, feel free to look into them yourself, and please ignore my little stepping stones of inspiration.
4. In this setting, no Outer God has descended, and the Great Old Ones have yet to be born on Earth.
"You" are a creation of Yidhra, and also possess telepathy and the ability to change your appearance. When you take human form, you gain a little more humanity. This is also the drawback of your shapeshifting: whatever you turn into, you become, and you cannot easily use your other abilities. Your kind therefore see you as a defective weakling. You can passively trigger hallucinations and enjoy collecting biological information, such as blood, flesh, minds, and souls.
Your human personality is lawful neutral.
5. Your mission is to investigate whether Earth is suitable for a descent, using yourself as a beacon. Inspired by the Japanese game "Song of Saya."
6. This novel is also known as "The Sims: Gotham Edition," and takes inspiration from various simulation games.

Source of inspiration for "Mother", for reference only: Outer God of Cthulhu—Idhela "A hundred years of April winds have dispersed her fragrance, a thousand years of October rains have washed away her footprints, and the ruthless years have invaded the old memories of her existence. However, wherever Idhela walks, the mountains and rivers will remain in memory forever." ——"The Place Where Idhayra Walks" Idhela, also known as the "Dream Witch," usually appears as an attractive young human woman, but her appearance can change. Idhira existed in the world long before the birth of life on earth. She has the form of all living things and incarnations throughout the world, and is able to use powerful illusions to influence intelligent life. She continuously devours life to obtain the corresponding living form, and continuously evolves herself by absorbing genetic material from reproductive organisms. Idhayla has a wide range of believers all over the world. The management of these organizations are mostly female, and they rely on powerful telepathic abilities to strengthen their rule over believers. Idhayla is considered a universal image associated with primordial concepts of prosperity, fertility, death, etc. - An epitome of Mother Earth or the goddess of the underworld; she is part of life and death, she is the earth itself; domination means nothing to her. She takes only what she needs. When the first living thing on this planet appeared, she appeared; when the living thing grew, she grew; when the living thing evolved, she evolved. Like all living things, it needs change to survive. She was born before death was born; in the incalculable years, life did not die, was not born, and did not change. But eventually death comes; birth comes; life is ordinary and mutable, and then ancestors die and children are born and no children are ever the same; the slime becomes worms, then worms become snakes, then snakes become wendigos, then wendigos become men. Of all living things she alone escapes death, escapes birth. But she cannot escape change. All living things must change, just as trees in the north must shake off their leaves to survive the winter and put them on again to survive the spring. Thus she learned to devour ordinary and mutable creatures, and to use their seeds to transform herself, to be the same as she wished, and to live forever, without death or birth. Idhayra devoured the octopus and learned to grow tentacles; she devoured the giant bear and learned to wrap herself in fur to resist the cold of the north; Idhayla did take on the shapes of all creatures, but no shape could give her true beauty, so she devoured all the wrong creatures in her fair share of the bargain. To her followers, she always appeared beautiful and beautiful, but they did not see her true face, only the side she wanted them to see. Just as sages can transmit their thoughts and visions to people far away, Idhayra can transmit her thoughts to people so that they can only see what she wishes. Indeed, she was able to share her thoughts that Idhayla had only one soul but many bodies - hidden in the rain forests of the south, frozen in the ice caps of the north, or buried in the deserts beyond the Western Sea. So although there are many temples to her, everyone is waiting for her to unite her bodies with her various followers and her consciousness will be infinite. ——Data source "Baidu"
Source of inspiration, for reference only: Outer God of Cthulhu - G'roth "It is as brown and red as rust, and has no other features except for hill-like spherical protrusions. ... Of course, if he looked from here, he would find that the bulges were not the size of hills, but should be much larger. It floated there lifelessly, exuding an overwhelming aura, like rolling thunder... It suddenly started to move... But how could the surface of the planet move... The surface of the planet would not crack at will, let alone spread out for thousands of miles, leaking the pale and glowing material below the surface." - Ramsey Campbell, "Traction". The Apocalypse of Glachi records that although the universe seems to be in flux, its soul always knows its Lord. The sleep of its master is but the most momentous cycle of all life, and just as the contempt and forgetfulness of winter become in vain in summer, so too will the contempt and forgetfulness of mankind, and those beings who have assumed the charge of stewardship, be abandoned by their reawakening master. When these winter days are over and the time of awakening is approaching, the universe itself will send forth the herald and agent, Ghroth. It will urge the stars and the world to go on the right track. It will himself lift up their graves and awaken their sleeping hosts from their caves and drowned graves. It will care for the world in which its worshippers think they are masters. It will dominate these worlds until all acknowledge their own hubris and pay homage to it. ——Data source "Baidu"
