(Sci-fi, sentinels and guides, boy-girl romance)
[New story, one chapter a day]
After the accident, the Federation did not abandon any of the researchers injured in it, and that included her.
As the most "innocent" and most severely affected victim of the experiment, Yi Wen should, by Federation custom, have been examined again and, after suffering mental contamination, given a grand funeral without a body...
*Some additional worldbuilding:
Most resource planets have names beginning with N... The New Era (0) is dated from the destruction of the Blue Star System. The dawn-dusk line intersects Blue Star, and the solar system, with the sun rotating inward around its axis, connects to the rotational system "beyond the heavens."
When Blue Star gives no response, gravity is redirected to the nearest habitable planet, N952.
(0) N952 was formally transferred to the Blue Star Federation by the Federation and incorporated into the Federation collective in the same interstellar year (0). Before its separation, the moon, as a rotating satellite, was accepted by the Federation's "Construction Plan" and moved together with Blue Star into the N952-Sun orbit.
(0) The Federation officially revised its structure, to be jointly governed by the ruling Federation party and the parliamentary political party.
(P.S. This is a serious romance, though it takes up only part of the story. At first, they have mutual crushes. After recovering their memories, the heroine's attitude changes dramatically. She may seem reserved, but she does love him.)
