[Western Crossover] Can an Ordinary Person Survive a Detective Story?

[I'm not satisfied with this. I'll update after revising.]

Also known as: #IFoundOutMyChildhoodFriendWasTheBritishReaperAndFlewAwayOnTheFirstPlaneOut,OnlyToLandInGotham#

Before I found out my childhood friend was a Holmes.

I always thought I'd finally made it in my previous life, since I'd been reborn as the only daughter of a wealthy family.

Even if my childhood friend's family was incredibly powerful and amazing, making me look like a brainless single-celled organism.

At least I had a warm, loving family, and enough money to live comfortably for the rest of my life.

Then the British Reaper arrived with his cases.

First came the deaths of both my parents.

Me, bankrupt and orphaned overnight: "..."

Seriously.

Can't an ordinary, unremarkable person survive in a detective story?

The thought of the evil Holmes family living right next door made me act at once. I used what little money I had left to buy the earliest plane ticket out.

Goodbye, detective. I'm setting sail tonight!

When the plane landed, I looked out the window and saw a gigantic sign that read, "Gotham Welcomes You Home."

Me, who'd spent all my savings chasing my dream: ?

One rainy night.

Twelve-year-old Sherlock knocked on the door of Wayne Manor.

The curly-haired boy was soaked through and put on a pitiful look, but his words were anything but polite.

"Please adopt me too, Mr. Batman."

Bruce: ?

Me: "..."

I stared at my childhood friend, his face covered in blood, looking like a demon, and let out a piercing scream before turning and running.

Damn it, you grim reaper detectives! Will you never leave me alone?!
