One day, Xiao Changming, an NPC in a game instance, suddenly realized that everything around him was wrong. The maid poured tea over his head, the guards wanted to blow up the house, and an unexpected guest inexplicably declared his love for him.

He was blinded by a bizarre antimatter weapon. At the critical moment, his own shadow guard suddenly displayed incredible power, transforming into a being made of black mist and swallowing the seemingly invincible enemy whole.

Xiao Changming: "..."

From that point on, his worldview collapsed, and he began a perilous plan to rebel against the NPC system.

Young Lin Qiwo is called Lin Chao. His name means sunrise and dawn, full of hope.

Lin Chao is naive, and Lin Qiwo deceives him. All he can say, his voice trembling with tears, is, "Other me, you're not a bad person. You're just too lonely. I'll stay with you from now on."

He's a little silly, too. Even though Lin Qiwo gets him into trouble, he turns around and praises him: "Other me, you're incredible! Like a hero, slicing monsters down with your huge sword. I like you so much!"

He's also a shameless flirt, and a heartbreaker.

In all the instances where he meets different versions of Lin Qiwo, he has to go over and touch them, rub against them, and gaze at them like a lovestruck fool.

One moment he says, "This version of me is so handsome!"

The next he says, "This version of me is so stylish!"

But in the end, he never forgets to turn to three-hundred-year-old Lin Qiwo and say, "I still like this version of me best! Only this one is my boyfriend. Kiss me, mwah!"

Lin Qiwo: "..."

At last, soft and radiant as a little sun, Lin Chao took root in his heart.

Lin Chao pouted. "Boyfriend, why is your name Lin Qiwo? It sounds like you're going to abandon me. Can't you call yourself Lin Aiwo? You have to love me very, very much!"

Lin Qiwo changed his name.

"Those who leave me cannot be kept; yesterday is gone. Those who trouble my heart make today's day a torment." [1]

He changed it to Lin Zige.

Young Lin Chao happily threw himself into his arms, laughing. "Great! Then I'll change my name too. From now on, I'll be Lin Wushu!"

Sing, dance, and be joyful on your own. Unrestrained, unbound, and unimpeded. [2]

He was Lin Zige's past, his other half, and someone naturally in sync with him.

Falling in love with your younger self is a hassle, but it's sweet, too.

Lin Zige was healed. He grew younger and more carefree with every passing day, until one day, three hundred years of darkness could no longer compare to one lovestruck, silly grin from Lin Wushu.

He became a captive to his younger self, and willingly surrendered.

Lin Wushu said:

"Lin Zige, I love you."

"I love you more than you love yourself."

"Because I am you."

"Because... you're the silly, foolish one."

"Between the two of us... you're the one who was my boyfriend when I was young."
