Jiang Ye: "These flowers are for you."

Mu Tian: "Who apologizes with blue eucalyptus flowers?"

Jiang Ye: "Mu Tian, there's a tree in this world called the blue plum. It's poisonous and domineering, killing every plant around it, but allowing only one kind of bird to nest in its branches. That bird is called the crested myna."

Mu Tian: "Oh. So you're..."

"So what I mean is, I'll meet many people in my life, but you're the only one I'll ever want to stay with and cherish."

Mu Tian's eyes reddened. She bit her lip and choked out, "Liar. I saw you hugging Song Ningzhi at lunchtime!"

The boy spoke humbly. "I've explained this to you so many times. Believe it or not, you're the only one I've ever loved. If there's anything I'm doing wrong, tell me and I'll change."
